  • Shape how AI products and capabilities scale across an enterprise
  • Join a newly established AI Product function with significant executive investment and visibility
  • Influence strategy, discovery, roadmap, vendor decisions and delivery outcomes from end to end

The opportunity to join our team
AI is creating more opportunities than most organisations can realistically deliver. The challenge is no longer generating ideas. It's knowing which opportunities to pursue, how to connect them, and how to build capabilities that create value at scale.

At Insignia Financial, we're building a new AI Product capability to solve exactly that challenge.

This is a rare opportunity to join a talented team and help shape how AI products are identified, prioritised and delivered across one of Australia's largest financial services organisations. You'll partner with stakeholders across the business to solve meaningful problems, identify opportunities that can be scaled across multiple teams, and help determine where AI can have the greatest impact.

Unlike many product roles, this isn't about owning a single platform or feature set. It's about taking a broader view, connecting opportunities across the organisation, influencing investment decisions, and shaping the products and capabilities that will underpin our AI future.

What you’ll do
You'll play a key role in turning ideas into practical AI products and capabilities that deliver measurable outcomes for our customers, employees and business.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading product discovery with business stakeholders to understand problems, opportunities and outcomes
  • Shaping AI product strategies, roadmaps and lifecycle plans
  • Identifying opportunities to create reusable capabilities that can solve multiple business problems
  • Partnering closely with Product Engineers and Data Scientists to evaluate solution options and product direction
  • Defining product priorities, success measures and release plans
  • Helping determine whether opportunities should be built internally or solved through vendor solutions
  • Monitoring product performance and value realisation
  • Ensuring responsible AI, privacy, governance and operational requirements are embedded throughout the product lifecycle

What You Bring to This Role

We're particularly interested in candidates who have already worked with AI, Generative AI, automation or emerging technology products and understand both the opportunities and challenges of bringing these capabilities into large organisations.

You'll bring:

  • Experience leading or shaping AI, Generative AI, machine learning, automation or data-driven products from concept through to delivery and optimisation.
  • Strong AI literacy and a genuine passion for emerging technologies, with the ability to understand what is possible, what is practical, and where AI can create meaningful outcomes.
  • Experience evaluating AI capabilities, platforms and products, and translating complex business challenges into scalable solutions.
  • The ability to connect business problems, customer needs and technology opportunities to create compelling product strategies and roadmaps.
  • An understanding of modern AI ecosystems, enterprise technology environments, integrations and platform capabilities.
  • Experience balancing innovation with governance, risk, privacy and responsible AI considerations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to work confidently across business, technology and executive audiences.
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to identify opportunities where a single capability can unlock value across multiple teams, functions or business units.
