The opportunity to join our team

Reporting to the General Manager Risk – Advice, Marketing & Enablement, you will play a key role in ensuring a sound risk and compliance culture, and stronger risk outcomes for Insignia Financial. You will focus on leading a small team to provide Line 2 oversight of Insignia’s Marketing, Brand and Enablement Functions, including People & Culture, Legal and Company Secretariat.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for helping to build a strong and highly regarded Risk Management team.
  • Provision of effective Line 2 review and challenge across Insignia’s Enablement and Marketing business.
  • Provision of risk management expertise and best practice advice that is aligned to the businesses’ risk frameworks and risk appetite.
  • Line 2 oversight of business planning activities.
  • Cultivating and fostering enduring relationships with the business.
  • Promote improved risk management discussions and outcomes through your business influence and engagement.
  • Work fluently across other Risk Management functions in order to have end-to-end visibility.
  • Key contributor in the reporting process to Board and Board Committees.

 

What you will bring

  • Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within the Financial Services sector
  • Deep knowledge of risk and compliance principles and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of the Financial Services sector
  • Ability to plan, lead and execute activity across a team
  • Commercial acumen with strategic capability
  • Strong analytical, verbal and report writing skills
  • The ability to exercise sound judgment and problem solve in a complex environment
  • Strong people leadership skills, demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others and foster a positive team environment
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline
