The opportunity to join our team

We are seeking a Vendor Manager for Governance, Risk and Compliance to manage the relationship with our external service provider, ensuring outsourced services are executed to a high standard and in line with contractual service levels. In this role, you will partner with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a strong risk and compliance culture across IFL’s advice businesses. You will provide strategic input on regulatory and business-driven changes and contribute to maintaining high-quality financial advice for our clients. This is an excellent opportunity to work collaboratively across the business and influence key compliance and risk outcomes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with external service providers to maintain visibility of risk and compliance across IFL’s advice businesses
  • Develop and assess reports to monitor service levels and overall AFSL compliance, including identifying advisers requiring further training or development
  • Provide periodic vendor performance updates to the GM Advice Enablement and key advice stakeholders
  • Attend key vendor meetings as directed by GM Advice Enablement
  • Support a strong risk awareness culture across IFL’s advice businesses
  • Contribute strategic input to the implementation of regulatory and business-driven change initiatives
  • Collaborate with other Compliance and Risk roles to perform risk assessments, facilitate control testing and ensure appropriate governance of new initiatives, processes and products
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and ensure all records are appropriately stored
  • Respond to legislative and environmental changes as required by IFL’s advice businesses

 

What you will bring:

  • RG146 qualified, DFP or higher preferred, with extensive financial services experience across advice, risk and compliance
  • Strong business writing skills and experience presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Exposure to regulators (ASIC, AUSTRAC) and deep knowledge of regulatory frameworks, including RG271
  • Understanding of operational risk, financial planning processes and market dynamics
  • Experience with XPLAN and Wealth Central and data analytics experience (desirable)
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills across all levels
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and committed to achieving agreed objectives
