The opportunity to join our team

As a Tax Manager (Funds Tax), you will lead the management of tax risk and compliance across the Group’s product entities. You will provide high-quality tax advice, support process improvements and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with the Head of Funds Tax, you will ensure the accuracy, timeliness and integrity of tax information. Your role will support the business in achieving its strategic objectives while maintaining strong governance and regulatory compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure tax risk is managed for the Group’s product entities in accordance with the Tax Governance Framework, policies, and procedures
  • Ensure all taxation obligations are met, including accuracy and timeliness of tax calculations for compliance and reporting
  • Provide tax advice to support business objectives
  • Maintain shared responsibility for the tax control environment
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency of tax processes
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key business stakeholders
  • Support tax audits and disputes, including liaising with tax authorities and resolving tax issues
  • Manage relationships with external tax advisers, auditors, and other stakeholders
  • Support Board and Audit Committee reporting
  • Assist with ATO stakeholder management

 

What you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or law
  • CA/CPA qualification
  • Strong understanding of tax law
  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry and products, particularly wealth and investment management
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulations
  • Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute activities across a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to delegate, empower staff and provide appropriate support
  • Proficiency with financial systems and PC-based applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
