At Insignia Financial, we’re streamlining technology to improve business and client outcomes. We seek a Solution Designer with strategic insight and comprehensive design skills to solve meaningful business challenges.

This role involves balancing new technology adoption and the modernisation of existing systems while aligning efforts with enterprise architecture and delivery needs. You’ll work across multiple initiatives to enhance how applications, data, integration, and platforms provide robust, sustainable solutions that support our commercial and strategic goals. Your designs will be practical, future-focused, and impactful.

Your impact will be visible across the organisation. You’ll provide trusted guidance, influence key decisions, and help ensure technology investments consistently drive measurable business value and long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on design of end-to-end solutions that align business objectives and technology outcomes
• Provide design leadership across data, integration, and transformation initiatives
• Actively champion technology strategic imperatives such as simplification, modernisation, data and AI capabilities
• Balance scalability, performance, cost, and technical debt in solution design
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to influence future-state direction and investment decisions
• Lead design forums and walkthroughs that drive clarity, alignment, and quality
• Identify structural risks and resolve issues impacting data integrity, system resilience, and long-term sustainability
• Explore practical applications of AI and emerging capabilities where they create real business value
• Mentoring and uplift of design capability in the technology teams

What you will bring

You’re outcome-focused and commercially sharp, confident in questioning assumptions and driven to simplify complexity. You recognise that great design is about delivering meaningful value in a way that is sustainable, scalable, and built to last.

Key Experience:

• Strong experience across application, data, integration, and enterprise solution domains
• Proven background in Solution Design with exposure to software engineering practices
• Deep understanding of data modelling, data engineering principles, and integration patterns
• Ability to evaluate build vs buy decisions and navigate vendor ecosystems
• Experience working in complex, regulated environments
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) with a focus on outcomes
• Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing capability across business and technical audiences
• A pragmatic, curious mindset with interest in AI and emerging technologies where they drive tangible impact
