As our Senior ServiceNow ITOM Engineer, you'll lead the delivery and continuous improvement of ITOM capabilities, driving improvements across Discovery, Service Mapping, CMDB and Event Management. You'll work on complex challenges spanning cloud, infrastructure and enterprise technology environments, while influencing the way our technology teams leverage ServiceNow to improve operational visibility, resilience and automation.
We're looking for someone who combines deep ServiceNow expertise with strong technical foundations and a problem-solving mindset. You'll be trusted to lead key initiatives, solve complex platform issues, advise stakeholders across Technology and help shape the future direction of our ITOM capability.
This is a highly visible specialist role where you'll work alongside ServiceNow developers, cloud engineers, infrastructure teams, architects and managed service partners. You'll have the opportunity to drive meaningful change, take ownership of enterprise-wide outcomes and broaden your exposure across the wider ServiceNow ecosystem.
What you will be doing:
- Lead the delivery of strategic ServiceNow ITOM initiatives, including Discovery, Service Mapping and Event Management uplift programs
- Design and implement complex Discovery patterns, Service Mapping models and integrations across hybrid cloud and infrastructure environments
- Drive CMDB maturity, data quality and governance, ensuring it becomes a trusted source of truth across Technology
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform, integration and discovery issues
- Develop and optimise automation, workflows and integrations using JavaScript, REST APIs and MID Servers
- Act as a trusted advisor to cloud, infrastructure, security and architecture teams on ITOM capabilities and best practice
- Identify opportunities to improve platform performance, operational visibility and automation
- Contribute to ServiceNow roadmap initiatives, platform standards and technical best practices across the organisation
What you will bring
- Proven experience working within the ServiceNow platform, with at least 5 years focused on ITOM capabilities
- Strong expertise across CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping and Event Management
- Experience leading or delivering complex ITOM initiatives and platform uplift programs
- Deep understanding of infrastructure and cloud technologies including Windows, Linux, networking and public cloud environments
- Strong experience with JavaScript, REST APIs, integrations and MID Server configurations
- Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to solve complex technical problems
- Confidence influencing senior technical stakeholders and working across multiple technology domains
- The ability to work independently while providing technical leadership and guidance to others
