Senior Operations Engineer

We’re hiring a Senior Operations Engineer to take ownership of our digital platform operations and help transform how we manage incidents, automation, and performance across our customer technology ecosystem.

This is a role where you’ll:

  • Own incidents, not just respond to them
  • Build better processes, not inherit broken ones

You’ll sit at the heart of our customer-facing platforms, supporting the systems that power our digital experiences. You’ll be part of a team focused on delivering reliable, high-performing digital experiences for customers, stepping into an environment where you’ll have real ownership to lead incidents and drive outcomes, with the opportunity to shape processes, frameworks, and automation from the ground up. This is a role that moves you beyond constant firefighting, giving you the space to focus on long-term improvements, all within a team that’s open to change and ready to evolve, and without a formal on-call roster.

You’ll partner closely with engineering, data, and platform teams to:

  • Improve reliability
  • Introduce automation
  • Build scalable operational frameworks

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead end-to-end incident management - triage, comms, resolution, and review
  • Support and optimise customer technology platforms and integrations
  • Monitor platform health and proactively prevent issues before they escalate
  • Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement
  • Build and maintain runbooks, documentation, and operational frameworks
  • Partner with engineering, data, cyber and vendors to ensure platform reliability
  • Support releases, deployments, and environments across production and non-production
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities to reduce manual effort

 

What you will bring

You’re someone who improves how things run. You’ll bring experience in:

  • Incident management within complex production environments
  • Platform / website operations
  • AWS cloud environments
  • CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar)
  • Linux scripting and automation fundamentals
  • Tools like ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence
  • Experience with MarTech or customer platforms (Adobe,CDPs, analytics)
  • Exposure to data platforms or pipelines
