The opportunity to join our team
Reporting to the Head of Risk - Advice & Customer, you will play a key role in ensuring a sound risk and compliance culture, and stronger risk outcomes for Insignia Financial. You will provide Line 2 oversight of Insignia’s Advice function within the Advice & Customer business unit. The role is instrumental in delivering better risk outcomes for Insignia, thereby supporting better client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for helping to build a strong and highly regarded Risk Management team.
- Provision of effective Line 2 review and challenge across Insignia’s Advice business within the Advice & Customer business unit.
- Provision of risk management expertise and best practice advice that is aligned to the Insignia risk framework and risk appetite.
- Cultivating and fostering enduring relationships with the business with a focus on developing trust through candour, appropriate safeguards and commercialism.
- Promote improved risk management discussions and outcomes through your business influence and engagement.
- Work fluently across other Risk Management functions in order to have end-to-end visibility.
- Key contributor in the reporting process to Board and Board Committees.
- Bringing a solution-oriented mindset to risk management activity within Marketing and Customer divisions.
- Assisting the Head of Risk with leadership, development, prioritisation, goals and establishing quality deliverables for the Manager Advice role that this role will work closely with.
What you will bring
- Significant experience in a similar role, ideally within the Financial Services sector
- Deep knowledge of risk and compliance principles and frameworks
- Strong understanding of the Financial Services sector
- Ability to plan, lead and execute activity across a team
- Commercial acumen with strategic capability
- Strong analytical, verbal and report writing skills
- The ability to exercise sound judgment and problem solve in a complex environment
- Strong people leadership skills, demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others and foster a positive team environment
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- A tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Law or a related discipline
