Great opportunity for a Senior Manager, Data Enablement, to play a pivotal role in transforming how customer and marketing data drive customer engagement and business outcomes across Insignia’s Superannuation, Wrap and Advice businesses.
With expertise in market-leading platforms like Google BigQuery and Adobe Experience Platform, you’ll partner closely with Marketing, IT, Digital, Data and Insights teams to architect and execute data strategies that fuel segmentation, personalisation, and engagement—while navigating the regulatory sensitivities and trust-centric nature of our sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Unified Data Strategy: Lead the strategic design and phased buildout of Insignia’s unified data platform (UDP) for Marketing in Google BigQuery to support customer engagement, digital acquisition, advanced analytics and performance reporting use cases
- Data Use Case Prioritisation: Co-create and prioritise high-impact use cases with marketing, digital and analytics teams, driving roadmap clarity aligned to business outcomes and strategic priorities
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Technology, Data Governance, Martech, Marketing and Insights teams (and SS&C as Insignia’s Superannuation partner) to align on data architecture, governance and capability development
- Platform Integration & Enablement: Ensure seamless integration of multiple data sources—CRM, SS&C, transactional, digital behaviour, and third-party wealth data—into BigQuery with a view to enable scalable personalisation and reporting
- Governance & Compliance: Collaborate with compliance and data stewards to embed financial regulatory requirements (APRA, AML/CTF) and ethical handling of client data into all development workflows
- Documentation & Standards: Champion robust data documentation, quality standards, and best practices to support long-term platform sustainability
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build relationships across the business and marketing teams to understand evolving data needs and establish platform adoption strategies
What you will bring:
- Solid experience in data strategy, marketing analytics, or Martech enablement
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working in Google BigQuery (preferred) or similar cloud data warehouses (e.g. Snowflake, Redshift)
- Hands-on familiarity with Adobe Experience Platform, including Real-Time CDP, Customer Journey Analytics, and Journey Optimiser (preferred)
- Understanding of digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, and customer lifecycle engagement
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical data requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal skills, with the ability to simplify complex data concepts
- Strong understanding of relevant Data Governance and Information Management obligations and legislation, policies and standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exposure to machine learning models for segmentation or propensity scoring
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI preferred)
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Data/Computer Science, Marketing or related field
