Senior Data Analyst
We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to provide critical analytical capability within our Product Remediation function. This role supports complex, high‑profile remediation activity through rigorous data analysis and insight, enabling informed decision‑making, fair customer outcomes, and strong regulatory compliance.
The team’s work is central to how the organisation identifies and resolves issues, manages risk, and demonstrates that remediation outcomes are accurate, complete and appropriately governed. Senior leaders rely on this capability to support regulator‑facing decisions and long‑term risk management.
The Opportunity
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will lead data analysis across significant remediation initiatives, working closely with project, product and business stakeholders to understand root causes, identify impacted customers and quantify remediation outcomes. You will work with large, complex datasets and ensure all outputs are robust, defensible and auditable.
You will also contribute to maintaining strong analytical standards across the team, including supporting and guiding less experienced analysts where required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data analysis for major, complex and/or reportable remediation initiatives
- Partner with Project Managers, Business Analysts and Product Owners to define data requirements and drivers
- Design and deliver data solutions to identify impacted customers and remediation outcomes
- Analyse complex datasets from multiple systems using SQL, Python and Excel
- Provide clear, evidence‑based insights and recommendations to senior leaders and executives
- Ensure analytical outputs meet governance, audit and regulatory standards
About you
- Extensive experience in data analysis within a project or delivery environment
- Tertiary qualification in IT, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or a related discipline
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, including complex query design and optimisation
- Strong experience with SQL Server / T‑SQL, Excel (including Power Query) and large, complex datasets
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical analysis into clear, practical business insights
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
Experience in financial services or other regulated environments is highly regarded.
