The opportunity to join our team

We're looking for a Senior Business Support Specialist to join our Fund Accounting & Operations team. In this role, you'll design, develop and enhance Excel and VBA-based tools that improve efficiency, strengthen controls and make day-to-day processes easier for the business. Working closely with stakeholders, you'll identify opportunities to streamline workflows, automate manual tasks and deliver practical solutions that support our financial and regulatory reporting, unit pricing and distributions. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, building user-friendly tools and making a tangible impact across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and enhance Excel and VBA-based business solutions
  • Provide ongoing support for existing tools, including troubleshooting, bug fixes and enhancements
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and user experience
  • Document tool functionality, development changes, assumptions and business processes
  • Assist users with data extraction, manipulation and reporting requirements
  • Recommend and implement improvements to reports, models, tools and processes
  • Provide guidance and training to end users where required
  • Ensure all tool development aligns with established control frameworks and governance standards

 

What you will bring:

  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex spreadsheet development
  • Strong VBA programming and troubleshooting experience
  • Experience developing business tools and process improvements
  • Basic SQL knowledge and query modification skills
  • Accounting, Finance or related qualification, or equivalent experience
  • Understanding of fund accounting or financial reporting principles
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build stakeholder relationships
