The opportunity to join our team

Are you ready to lead one of the most significant investment administration transformations in Australia’s superannuation sector?

At Insignia Financial, we’re embarking on a multi-year journey to simplify and modernise our investment systems — and we’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to help us make it happen. This is your chance to work on high-impact initiatives that will define the future of our proprietary platforms and improve outcomes for millions of Australians.

You’ll be joining a passionate, collaborative team leading a major transformation of our investment administration systems, focused on consolidating platforms, enhancing our proprietary UNISON system, and designing a new, future-ready pricing model.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering this transformation. You’ll work closely with business stakeholders, delivery leads, and technology teams to:

  • Lead business and system analysis across discovery, development, testing, and delivery phases.
  • Translate complex business needs into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Support UAT and functionality testing, ensuring solutions meet business expectations.
  • Partner with product owners to define value, prioritise requirements, and articulate the product vision.
  • Coach and support other analysts, lifting capability across the team.
  • Navigate ambiguity and drive clarity in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

You’ll be working on projects that include:

  • Consolidating four registry systems into one.
  • Consolidating from 3 unit pricing systems to 1.
  • Defining a new, flexible pricing model - the biggest uplift in UNISON in 20 years.
  • Supporting the migration of off-platform funds into UNISON.
  • Contributing to cost optimisation and scale initiatives aligned to our MasterTrust roadmap.

What You Bring to This Role

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to bring a strong mix of domain expertise, analytical leadership, and delivery experience. Specifically, we’re looking for:

  • Deep experience in Business Analysis, ideally within superannuation or investment administration.
  • Firm understanding of:
    • Fund administration & accounting
    • Unit pricing and distributions
    • Custody services and general ledger accounting
    • Investment platforms like pControl, HiPortfolio, and UNISON
  • Experience in technology transformation programs, especially platform migrations.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Agile delivery experience and comfort working with ambiguity.
  • Certifications like CBAP, AAC, or Scrum Master are a plus.
