About the Role
As Senior Analytics Engineer, you will design, build and maintain trusted, reusable data assets that support reporting, advanced analytics and data science across Wrap. Sitting at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, this role focuses on scalable data modelling, shared business logic, data quality and stakeholder enablement. You will work across analytics teams, the business and enterprise IT to deliver high-quality datasets that improve decision-making and accelerate value delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build and maintain reusable analytical data assets for reporting, insights and data science use cases.
- Create and manage semantic business logic, shared measures and calculated fields to support consistent decision-making.
- Build robust data transformation processes and optimise datasets for performance, scalability and reliability.
- Apply strong data quality, validation and governance practices to ensure data is accurate, compliant and fit for purpose.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across analytics, technology and the business to deliver effective and well-documented data solutions.
What you will bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in analytics engineering, data engineering or a related discipline, with strong SQL skills and a track record of building scalable analytical datasets.
- Strong understanding of data modelling concepts including facts, dimensions, semantic layers and shared metrics.
- Hands-on experience with modern cloud data platforms such as GCP, Databricks or Snowflake.
- A proactive approach to data quality, governance, change management and production support.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate requirements into practical data solutions.
- Experience in financial services, superannuation, investments or platform environments will be highly regarded.
