Risk in Change - Senior Manager

Front and centre to all major transformation programs, this role provides independent Line 2 oversight across enterprise-wide change initiatives.
We are seeking an experienced Risk in Change leader to partner with our Strategy & Innovation and Enterprise Services division, ensuring transformation activity is delivered safely, responsibly, and in alignment with regulatory and organisational expectations.
This is a highly visible role working closely with senior executives and project teams, providing expert guidance, constructive challenge, and forward-looking risk insight across complex change programs.
You will:
- Provide strategic Line 2 oversight across major transformation programs
- Be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders and project teams, leaning in to add value where it matters most
- Review and challenge adherence to the Enterprise Delivery Governance Framework and Risk and Compliance frameworks applied to change initiatives
- Deliver clear, timely executive and Board-level risk insights and escalation of emerging risks
- Conduct targeted assurance reviews and ensure effective remediation of root causes
- Strengthen enterprise risk capability, culture, and adoption of governance frameworks
- Provide proactive guidance, practical solutions, and balanced judgement across competing priorities
- Know when to listen and when to speak up — applying sound judgement in complex environments
About You
- 10+ years’ experience in risk management, operational risk, compliance, internal audit or transformation risk within a large, regulated organisation (financial services highly regarded)
- Demonstrated Line 2 oversight of large-scale, complex change or regulatory programs
- Strong enterprise risk management and regulatory knowledge (e.g. APRA or equivalent frameworks)
- Strong trust and credibility with senior stakeholders and project delivery teams
- Proven ability to manage challenging conversations and provide constructive, independent challenge
- Commercially minded, proactive, and solutions-focused
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills suited to executive and Board audiences
- Demonstrated ability to use judgement, influence decisions, and navigate ambiguity with resilience
