This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in Insignia Financial’s ongoing transformation, joining our Line 2 Risk Management function as a Senior Risk Manager – Super Insurance.

 

In this senior specialist role, you will independently oversee and challenge the risk profile of the Superannuation business, with a strong focus on Insurance in Super, Master Trust Governance, and Distribution. You will provide expert risk and compliance oversight across internal operations and external service providers, ensuring strong alignment with APRA prudential standards, legislative obligations, and trustee expectations.

 

You’ll bring deep regulatory expertise, sound judgement, and the confidence to engage senior stakeholders to strengthen assurance, uplift controls, and embed best-practice risk management across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Framework & Compliance – Lead and challenge the embedment of the Risk and Compliance Framework across Super, with a focus on Insurance in Super and trustee obligations.
  • Assurance & Oversight – Provide independent Line 2 oversight, including assurance reviews of controls, insurer arrangements, and service provider performance.
  • Incident & Breach Management – Assess incidents and breaches, advising on root cause, remediation, and regulatory considerations.
  • Reporting & Governance – Deliver concise, high-quality risk and compliance reporting to Trustee Boards and Committees.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Act as a trusted senior risk partner, influencing decision-making and strengthening risk culture.
  • Shape the Function – Contribute to the uplift and maturity of Line 2 risk practices and assurance capability.

 

What you will bring:

  • Degree qualified with extensive Line 2 risk, compliance, or assurance experience in superannuation, insurance, or financial services
  • Strong knowledge of Insurance in Super, including insurer arrangements and governance
  • Deep understanding of APRA prudential standards, SIS and Corporations Act obligations, and trustee frameworks
  • Proven experience delivering independent oversight, assurance reviews, and regulatory-grade reporting
  • Ability to challenge constructively, influence senior stakeholders, and operate confidently in complex environments
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including board and regulator-facing material
  • Strong risk mindset with the judgement and credibility expected of a senior Line 2 specialist
