Reporting to the General Manager Risk – Asset Management and Finance, purpose of this role is help support a sound risk and compliance culture across Asset Management whilst acting as an independent point of risk engagement, challenge and advice that results in safe implementation and execution. The role is instrumental in delivering better risk outcomes for Insignia, thereby supporting better client outcomes

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provision of risk management expertise and considered advice aligned to established risk frameworks.
  • Cultivating and fostering enduring relationships with the business, the Risk Management function and the Office of Responsible Entities.
  • Review and contribute to development and approval of responsible entity business plans, policies and Board/committee reports to ensure risk, compliance, governance matters and conflicts are considered and effective.
  • Contribute to determination of reportability of breaches to regulators through contribution to discussions at incident review forums and breach reporting forums.
  • Work fluently across other Risk Management functions in order to have end-to-end visibility of all Asset Management matters.
  • Provision of effective Line 2 review and challenge across Insignia’s Asset Management, ESG and Finance areas.

 

What you will bring

  • Undergraduate degree in Business/Commerce, Law or relevant subjects (mandatory)
  • 8+ years' experience related to financial product or risk-specific roles.
  • Knowledge of operational and investment risk and compliance principles and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of the Asset Management sector and investment Risk
  • Strong influencing, relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in complex businesses undergoing significant transformation.
  • Ability to drive behavioural and mindset changes with key stakeholders.
  • Ability to execute activities efficiently and pragmatically.
  • The ability to exercise sound judgment and problem solve in a complex environment.
  • Strong analytical, verbal and report writing skills.
