This role is responsible for assisting the Risk Management team to create and oversee robust governance risk and compliance frameworks as well as overseeing incident management processes in the Master Trust business – predominantly Operations. This role supports business units in embedding and operating the frameworks and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a business partner to work with the Master Trust business and provide risk and compliance support. Act as an escalation point for the business to raise issues or concerns.
- Governance – assist in ensuring that senior management and Boards receive insightful reporting that allows them to remain compliant with regulatory requirements, and operate in accordance with best practice
- Risk framework – Liaise with relevant business and first line teams to communicate and champion the framework. Oversee adherence to the framework via ‘review and challenge’ activities. Drive business understanding of key risks – operational and strategic risks and help them manage control frameworks. Oversee the business’ management of incidents / reportable breaches
- Compliance – assist the regulated entities in relation to compliance with regulatory requirements, and oversee assurance processes in relation to obligations management.
- Incident Management – provide line 2 oversight and support for the incident management process operating in Client and Process, and the assessment of reportable breaches to regulators.
- Frameworks – work with colleagues to ensure that risk compliance and governance frameworks are robust, well designed, and operating effectively
- Communicating frameworks to 1st line and business teams and assisting with framework adherence
- Review and challenge activities to oversee business activities, identify potential risk exposures and resolve issues
What you will bring
- Degree qualified
- 5-10 years’ experience working in a risk and compliance role, preferably with a focus on governance/risk management/compliance tasks, or professional services.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to superannuation funds
- Experience working with superannuation administration services/operations preferred
- Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
- Proactive with an ability to manage a dynamic portfolio
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to prepare well-articulated written documents
- Attention to detail
