The opportunity to join our team

You will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing our regulatory engagement with key regulators including APRA and ASIC. As Senior Manager, you'll work closely with the Head of Regulatory Relations to drive proactive, transparent engagement, deliver expert insights on complex regulatory matters, and strengthen our prudential standing. Your expertise will guide the organisation through a complex regulatory landscape, deliver sharp insights to senior leaders and drive continuous uplift in our regulatory maturity.

 

You will also mentor a high-performing team and champion a culture of integrity, compliance, and proactive risk management across the business.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage proactive, transparent and timely engagement with APRA and ASIC.
  • Lead drafting and coordination of responses to regulatory matters
  • Provide strategic regulatory analysis, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Review regulatory communications to ensure accuracy, consistency and alignment with expectations
  • Coach and mentor a team to deliver strong regulatory outcomes
  • Guide internal stakeholders on regulatory expectations and engagement practices
  • Maintain accurate records of regulatory interactions and commitments
  • Support Board, Committees and Executive regulatory reporting and governance requirements   

 

What you will bring:

  • Degree in Law, Business, Commerce or related field (mandatory)
  • Extensive experience in risk, compliance or regulatory relations within financial services
  • Excellent understanding of APRA, ASIC and ACCC regulatory frameworks
  • Deep knowledge of Australian financial services regulation and legislation, particularly Superannuation.
  • Proven ability to manage regulatory interactions and provide strategic insights on areas of regulatory risk
  • Strong written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to influence and build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Experience mentoring or leading others within a regulatory or risk environment
