IT Change Manager
SYDNEY, NSW, AU, 2000 MELBOURNE, VIC, AU, 3008
- Own the change process: manage and evolve a core ITIL-aligned capability
- Keep things running smoothly by leading change governance and reducing downtime
- Help drive uplift in how change is managed across a complex tech environment
The opportunity to join our team
We’re strengthening our Service Management capability, and change sits at the centre of it. This role is one of two Change Managers within our broader IT Service Operations team, working across incident, problem, service desk, and change. Your focus? Driving consistent, well-governed change across our tech landscape.
You’ll be the engine behind the change process, with responsibility for:
- Reviewing and coordinating IT change requests
- Enforcing compliance with enterprise change standards and policies
- Maintaining a forward schedule of change (18–24 month view)
- Running key governance and approval forums, including CAB and TAB
- Engaging with senior technical leaders, engineers, and managed service partners
There’s space to do more than BAU here. We’re on a journey to uplift our service maturity, and this role gives you the chance to actively shape and improve how change is done across the organisation.
What You Bring to This Role
You’re a structured IT Change Manager who can work independently, own your remit, and keep things moving. You’re confident navigating large, matrixed environments and can communicate with a range of technical and business stakeholders. You’ll bring:
- Experience leading or running a Change Management function (ideally in financial services or another regulated industry)
- ITIL accreditation and strong knowledge of ITSM practices
- Solid experience in IT or technology operations
- Proven ability to work within a structured governance framework
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills – especially with senior IT leaders and engineers
What’s in it for you?
This is a hands-on role with scope. You’ll be part of a mature IT environment with the chance to influence how change happens across the business. With a strong platform already in place and a clear focus on uplift, this is your opportunity to be part of a tech organisation that’s serious about doing things right – and better.
