Excellent opportunity to join our Advice and Customer Division as Head of Internal Communications & Employee Experience. This is a critical role in delivering Insignia Financial’s Vision 2030 — to become Australia’s leading and most efficient wealth management company.
This role shapes how our people understand, experience and contribute to Insignia’s strategy.
It is accountable for building a clear, trusted internal narrative that connects employees to our customer obsession, simplification agenda, technology transformation and growth ambitions across superannuation, advice, platforms and asset management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a high‑performing internal communications team to design and deliver IFL’s enterprise internal communications strategy
- Act as a trusted adviser to the CEO and Executive Team on internal narrative, tone and messaging priorities
- Lead CEO communications, including town halls, enterprise updates and key moments of engagement
- Accountable for divisional communications strategies and rhythms
- Translate enterprise‑wide strategy and change initiatives into clear, compelling internal messages (e.g. rollout and embedment of AI tools)
- Establish and maintain enterprise‑wide communication standards, governance and communication rhythms
- Build concise leader communication toolkits that enable clear, engaging and consistent leader communication
- Use compelling storytelling to translate strategy into human, engaging messages that bring IFL’s purpose to life
- Build leader capability in storytelling, equipping leaders to communicate with authenticity, clarity and impact to drive alignment and action
- Facilitate IFL’s communications community of practice
- In partnership with Organisational Development, communicate the end‑to‑end employee experience ensuring alignment to IFL’s culture, values and strategic priorities
- Lead and deliver targeted initiatives that improve priority aspects of the employee experience, using engagement data and insights to measure impact and guide continuous improvement
- Drive the creation of positive, locally relevant employee experiences across all IFL locations through the development and execution of office engagement plans
- Plan and oversee engaging employee events and experiences that strengthen connection, inclusion and a sense of belonging across the organisation
What you will bring:
- 10+ years’ experience in senior internal communications and/or employee experience leadership roles within complex organisations
- Experience within regulated financial services, with an understanding of risk, governance and stakeholder complexity
- Demonstrated ability to design, deliver and embed enterprise strategies that drive measurable employee and business outcomes
- Proven expertise in transformation communications, including leading narrative, engagement and alignment through significant organisational change
- Highly effective executive communicator and influencer, with the ability to advise, challenge and support senior leaders with a calm and credible presence
- Thrives in fast‑paced, evolving environments, bringing clarity and stability through periods of ambiguity and transformation
- Strong people leader with a track record of building, leading and developing high‑performing, engaged teams
- Highly collaborative operator, able to partner effectively across functions and influence without authority to deliver enterprise outcomes
