Head of Group Financial Control

As our Head of Group Financial Control, you will play a critical leadership role in safeguarding the financial integrity of the Group through accurate financial and regulatory reporting, strong governance, and a robust financial control environment.

Reporting to the General Manager Financial Control, you will partner closely with the CFO, Executive Leadership Team, Board and Audit & Risk Committees, providing trusted advice on technical accounting matters and leading a high-performing team responsible for financial control across a diverse and complex portfolio of entities.

The opportunity

This role supports our customers by helping build trust and confidence in Insignia Financial's statutory and regulatory reporting, while protecting customer interests through the maintenance of a strong and effective financial control framework.

As a strategic finance leader, you'll oversee Group reporting, technical accounting, audit management, and financial governance, while driving continuous improvement and transformation initiatives across the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Group statutory, investor and regulatory reporting.
• Maintain a robust financial control framework across the Group.
• Provide technical accounting leadership on complex transactions and emerging standards.
• Oversee consolidation and reporting across multiple legal entities and investment structures.
• Lead external audits, including planning, execution and stakeholder management.
• Prepare and present financial insights to the Board, Audit & Risk Committee and Executive leadership.
• Drive finance transformation, process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Lead, develop and inspire a high-performing Financial Control team.
• Maintain Group accounting policies and ensure consistent application.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, Tax, Company Secretariat and business leaders to support strategic outcomes.
• Support acquisitions, integrations, restructures and divestments through accounting and due diligence expertise.
• Oversee Financial Control activities for Advice and Service Provider/Administrator entities.

What You'll Bring

• CA qualification.
• Significant experience in Financial Control, Finance Leadership or Corporate Reporting roles within financial services industry.
• Big 4 audit experience will be highly regarded.
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting expertise.
• Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Confidence presenting to executive leadership, Boards and Committees.
• Commercial mindset with strong judgement and problem-solving capability.
• Hands-on leadership style with a focus on accountability, performance and continuous improvement.
