The opportunity to join our team
We’re looking for a Data Engineer to join our Asset Management Technology team. You’ll be part of a small, highly capable engineering team supporting direct investment managers and asset operations, people who rely on data to make real decisions.
You’ll work on data that directly supports investment decisions, in a small, collaborative team where your contributions are visible. There’s opportunity to apply new skills and ideas while gaining exposure to modern data platforms and transformation initiatives.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who’s comfortable sitting between the business and the tech: understanding what’s needed, designing the right solution, and making sure the data platforms deliver.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build and support data pipelines, warehouses and analytics platforms
- Partner with investment and operations teams to translate business needs into data solutions
- Diagnose and resolve data platform issues, owning incidents end-to-end
- Monitor platform performance and proactively improve service health
- Contribute to data governance, access controls and security practices
- Drive automation and continuous improvement across data platforms
What you will bring
- Strong SQL experience working with large, complex datasets
- Experience with Microsoft and/or Oracle-based data environments
- Hands-on experience with Power BI (Tableau also welcomed)
- Working knowledge of Python for data engineering and automation
- Experience with cloud data services; GCP / BigQuery highly regarded
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
