The Role
Our Credit Research Analyst is responsible to identify investment opportunities. You will undertake credit research and analyse corporate credit risk that is currently, or has the potential to become, part of the Antares Fixed Income portfolios. You will contribute to maintaining and growing Antares’ professional and commercially advantageous relationships with various stakeholders, clients, asset consultants and counterparties. Key Responsibilities:
- Research corporate issuers for fixed income portfolios.
- Conduct credit analysis to assess corporate, financial, and structured credit assets for potential investment.
- Use a bottom-up approach, analysing financial metrics, earnings, and capital structures.
- Monitor existing investments and evaluate new opportunities.
- Track corporate credit risk across multiple portfolios, updating investment opinions based on new data (e.g., financial results, industry trends, market conditions).
- Stay informed on company earnings, industry changes, and economic trends to support Portfolio Managers.
- Assess bond issuers' ESG attributes and maintain ESG rankings.
- Assist in ESG reporting and refine ESG integration into credit research.
- Analyse security structures and relative value to identify investment opportunities and determine fair value for new issuances.
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- Extensive experience as an Analyst/Credit Researcher with well-developed knowledge of corporate and/or securitised assets credit analysis methodologies and/or equity research experience.
- Experience in an investment management firm, a major credit rating agency, or wholesale finance.
- Direct credit research or analysis experience in fixed income or equity markets.
- Experience with ESG and/or RI assessments and analysis would be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to deliver to tight timeframes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate conclusions of analysis in an effective and commercial manner.
- Post graduate financial or economic qualifications such as CFA will be looked upon favourably.
