Excellent opportunity to work with our successful Business Development Team in NSW. The focus of the Business Development manager is growth of the MLC Expand product suite by attracting and converting new business opportunities. In this role you will grow sales & share of wallet, through building our brand and new adviser growth aligned to Insignia Financial's sales targets. You will lead, demonstrate and contribute to a positive sales culture within the state and national team. This role will suit someone with a business presence who can increase the MLC Expand profile in the adviser market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve or exceed agreed budgets and targets
- Influence advisers to recommend the appropriate solution to their clients
- Sales planning and service proposition for productive and effective panel management including business planning and 90-day plans
- Educate & implement sales initiatives, whether “one-on-one” or “one-to-many” with a minimum activity level
- Effective use of salesforce for all adviser activity and actively manage sales opportunities
- Effective management of panel to achieve objectives and growth expectations
- Gain an in-depth knowledge of prospects to determine the opportunities to promote various Insignia Financial solutions
- Ability to articulate the broader Insignia Financial capabilities through effective delivery of ‘insights’ to prospective advisers
- Contribute to the development of Insignia Financial value proposition by providing client and market feedback
- Work collaboratively with other team members to assist with the achievement of overall Insignia Financial distribution strategy
- Convey a positive professional culture
- Effectively manage and appropriately respond to day-to-day issues and broader initiatives impacting the business, including clear communication across all stakeholders
- Adhere to all risk management protocols including mandatory training, CPD requirements and internal policies
What you will bring:
- Solid Business Development experience with a proven sales track record
- Ability to influence and implement initiatives to convert new business opportunities
- Excellent understanding of adviser needs, the financial planning industry, and our group positioning
- A proven track record of converting new adviser sales opportunities
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- A broad understanding of investments structures and how they are positioned in the adviser marketplace
- Highly driven to succeed and a team player
- Ability to be persuasive through selling and presenting
- In depth knowledge of industry trends, particularly those relating to administration platforms and the financial planning industry
- An understanding of competitors and how they relate to Insignia Financial
- Detailed product knowledge (across the Insignia Financial range)
- Values a team culture and willingness to create an open and co-operative business environment
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions
- Willingness to contribute to the overall success of the business development team
