The opportunity to join our team

We have an exciting opportunity for an Accountant, Financial Control to join our Finance team on a max-term full-time basis. In this role, you’ll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial information for our Wrap/Super entities, ensuring all statutory and regulatory obligations are met. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of financial data, supporting stakeholders with insights and analysis, and driving continuous improvement in our reporting processes.

 

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Wrap/Super Financial Control and offers the chance to work collaboratively across finance functions while gaining exposure to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end activities, including preparing and posting journals and ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data
  • Prepare statutory financial statements, regulatory returns, and maintain compliance with licence and reporting requirements
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accuracy of general ledger accounts
  • Provide monthly reporting and P&L variance analysis in partnership with Finance Business Partners to deliver insights on performance
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts and support tax reporting requirements
  • Coordinate audit queries and assist with external audit deliverables
  • Drive process improvements to enhance reporting efficiency and data quality
  • Utilise emerging and AI-powered technologies to strengthen financial reporting and compliance.

 

What you will bring:

  • Degree or qualification in Accounting
  • CA/CPA qualification (or progression towards it)
  • Prove experience in statutory or regulatory accounting within financial services
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and Australian taxation
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (intermediate to advanced level)
  • Continuous improvement mindset with interest in emerging and AI technologies to enhance financial reporting
