AI and Automation Specialist - Risk

Are you passionate about using data, automation and AI to solve complex business problems?

We're looking for a technically strong Data Scientist or Data Engineer to join our Enterprise Risk team and help transform the way operational risk is managed. This is an opportunity to move beyond traditional reporting and build intelligent, automated risk solutions that provide real-time insights and support better decision-making across the business.

 

Working alongside Risk specialists, you'll combine data engineering, analytics, AI and visualisation to modernise risk frameworks, automate manual processes and develop innovative reporting capabilities.

 

What you'll be doing

  • Design and build automated risk reporting, dashboards and analytics using Power BI and other visualisation tools.
  • Develop scalable data solutions that improve operational risk monitoring, reporting and governance.
  • Apply AI and automation to streamline workflows, enhance risk identification and improve control effectiveness.
  • Build end-to-end dashboards from the ground up, transforming complex datasets into meaningful business insights.
  • Analyse large datasets to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Partner closely with Risk, Technology and business stakeholders to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
  • Support the ongoing enhancement of the Operational Risk Framework through innovative technology and analytics.
  • Work with data sourced from Atlas and other enterprise systems to deliver high-quality reporting and insights.

 

What you'll bring

  • Experience as a Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer or similar technical role.
  • Advanced SQL and Python skills, with experience manipulating and analysing large datasets.
  • Strong Power BI capability, including designing and building dashboards from scratch using robust data models and DAX.
  • Experience developing automation solutions and improving business workflows.
  • Exposure to AI, machine learning or Generative AI applications in a commercial environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working with data pipelines, reporting solutions and enterprise data platforms.
  • Experience within financial services or regulated environments will be highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of operational risk, governance or GRC platforms is advantageous but not essential.
