The opportunity to join our team

As the AI Governance Senior Specialist, you’ll play a key role in shaping how AI is governed enterprise-wide, influencing how use cases are assessed, approved and embedded into day-to-day operations. You’ll be working directly with senior stakeholders to guide decisions, challenge risk, and drive the safe enablement of AI.

You’ll step into a function that is actively evolving, with the opportunity to build, refine and embed governance practices in real time across a complex, regulated environment. From running the AI Governance Council through to uplifting frameworks, risk controls and capability across the business, this role combines hands-on governance delivery with strategic influence.

You’ll work closely with senior leaders across Technology, Risk, Privacy and the broader business, influencing AI enablement and adoption that is responsible, scalable and sustainable. At the same time, you’ll be part of a business undergoing significant transformation, where AI governance is a clear priority and your impact will be visible from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and evolve the enterprise AI governance framework across the full AI lifecycle
• Own and operate the AI Governance Council (AIGC), ensuring oversight of all AI use cases
• Guide AI initiatives by partnering across Technology, Risk, Privacy and the broader business
• Strengthen AI risk management practices, including assessments, controls and issue management
• Implement governance tooling, registers and reporting to track AI systems and maturity
• Promote responsible AI practices, including fairness, explainability and ethical use

What you will bring

• Experience in technology risk, governance or compliance within a regulated environment
• Proven ability to design and implement governance frameworks and controls
• Strong stakeholder engagement with the ability to influence and challenge
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business and risk insights
• Solid understanding of regulatory expectations and risk environments

Highly regarded

• Exposure to AI governance, AI risk or model risk
• Understanding of AI/ML and data governance concepts
• Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST AI RMF, ISO/IEC 42001 or CPS 234
