The opportunity to join our team

We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to play a key role in our exciting cloud migration project. You’ll help lead the move of our complex microservices architecture to AWS, powering the innovative EVOLVE platform with cutting-edge technology.

Here's a glimpse of what you'll be doing:

• Build and maintain automation processes for deploying applications, infrastructure, and operating systems
• Enhance and manage existing repositories for automation, configuration, and deployment tools
• Identify and implement new automation strategies to improve quality and efficiency
• Integrate both custom and off-the-shelf solutions to meet the needs of our internal teams
• Mentor and support junior engineers, encouraging a culture of continuous learning
• Document technical solutions and present your work to the team
• Translate on-prem solutions into cloud-native architectures

What you will bring

• Expert in AWS cloud migration, cloud-native applications, and platform engineering
• Skilled in Linux systems administration, containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and automation tools like Python, Ansible, and Helm
• Strong DevOps background with hands-on experience in public and private cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, VMware)
• Recognised ability to independently troubleshoot and manage highly complex systems and networks
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to design, document, and present technical architecture to various stakeholders
