Do you have a passion for payroll excellence and leadership?
We are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Lead to join us in a newly created role within the People & Culture function. In this role you will provide end to end management of payroll processes, leading a team of approximately 7-10 to deliver an effective service to our employees, and manage associated compliance and reporting requirements.
You thrive on driving change are hands on in leading your team to get the best possible payroll outcomes. You have a passion for enhancing the overall experience for our people, leading both within and across the business to identify and influence improvements to our payroll processes and payroll experience.
As you would expect, this role also involves managing compliance with Australian employment laws, tax obligations, superannuation, and relevant regulations. This includes managing payroll audits and reporting for financial, tax, and regulatory bodies. Where system changes are required, you will collaborate with our technical teams including internal and external stakeholders to deliver the required changes.
What you will bring
We are seeking a candidate with experience leading a highly effective payroll function, ideally within complex, enterprise environments. Relevant tertiary qualification, combined with knowledge of the relevant Australian law and regulations associated with payroll is essential. We use SAP success factors, and whilst existing experience on this platform is not essential, it would be advantageous. Alternatively, you are expected to have experience on other enterprise HCM/payroll solutions.
You believe in a strong service ethic and the value-payroll can add, and are passionate about ensuring we are proactive and responsive to the needs of our people. You enjoy being hands on supporting the team where needed, however your leadership style allows enables to lead both within the payroll function and across the business to drive outcomes. You will leverage your strong analytics, problem solving and change leadership skills to ultimately enhance the payroll experience for our team and broader employees.
