The Senior Associate Adviser (SAA) is an essential element of the Shadforth service delivery strategy.  The SAA is responsible for managing the advice needs of our existing clients and supporting our growth journey through new clients.

 

The SAA is expected to set a standard for other staff in maintaining a high professional standard for all advice, client service and personal integrity.  As a key member of staff, it is expected that the SAA will take a lead role in maintaining the values of Shadforth.

 

You will be mentored and developed in line with your goal progressing into a Private Wealth Adviser.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take both responsibility and accountability for the associated work required to deliver new client business, including the preparation and delivery of advice as the case may require.  This advice needs to be provided in a profitable manner and could be prepared by the SAA or with the support of other Advisers and staff 
  • Ensure that clients are informed of their options and understand any recommendations that are made to them by providing high quality personal wealth management advice 
  • Identify when a client needs additional advice and deliver this advice to clients on a timely basis 
  • Deliver minimum Service Standards (as determined / amended by the business from time to time), ensuring work is completed in a timely manner and that client issues are addressed within an approved timeframe 
  • Ensure backup support for other SAA’s while they are away from the office (e.g. on leave) 
  • Mentor and train support staff as a senior peer and responsible for allocating workload

 

What you will bring:

  • Proven experience in an Associate Adviser or Paraplanner role 
  • Solid understanding of tax, superannuation, retirement income streams, investments, and social security 
  • Sound experience in XPLAN financial planning software 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ability to use initiative and judgement in problem solving solutions 
  • Passion for mentoring and developing people
  • New business skills and existing client referral networks 
  • Accountable for targets aligned with key business drivers 
  • Real drive/passion to become a Private Wealth Adviser
  • Tertiary qualification in Financial Planning, Business
  • DFP qualified
  • FASEA Qualified or working towards this
