The opportunity to join our team

This role is involved in the development and implementation of Climate Change capabilities, and strategies; including materiality assessments, scenario analysis, transition plans, climate metrics and reporting. This role will assist Insignia Financial in building capability across its business to successfully deliver climate-related financial reporting and provide visibility and transparency to our members and investors.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be a lead role in coordinating and conducting Climate risk related materiality assessments maturing from qualitative to quantitative measurements in line with reporting requirements.
  • Incorporate materiality assessments into transition planning and financial reporting to inform high priority areas of climate risks and opportunities.
  • Develop the foundational structure of Insignia’s Climate Transition Plan working with Strategy to link in with the annual and 3yr business reviews.
  • Work with key stakeholders to build climate risk scenario assessments.
  • Play a key role in building Insignia’s climate metrics and operational emissions for disclosure including Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions.
  • Play a key role in building Insignia’s climate metrics to understand and report on “financed’ emissions across multiple financial products.
  • Build Climate transition planning and reporting process to meet public disclosure requirements.
  • Work with key stakeholders to set operational emissions targets and implement into Insignia’s strategy.

 

What you will bring

  • Experience in a similar or like-for-like role
  • In depth knowledge of ESG frameworks and climate related risks.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environment including exposure to Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures.  
  • Experience in the development of ESG reporting
  • Excellent communicator
  • Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and business units.
  • Experience in the superannuation industry preferred
