Technology Controls Tester

Privacy & Technology Governance | Technology Division

Want to broaden your technology experience and gain exposure to how a large and complex organisation manages technology risk and controls?

The opportunity to join our team

Join a team that genuinely enjoys working together. The team is collaborative, supportive and invested in helping each other succeed, creating an environment where you're encouraged to ask questions, share ideas and continue developing your skills.

As a Technology Controls Tester, you'll work across a wide range of technologies, systems and teams, gaining a unique view of how Technology supports the business. You'll partner with stakeholders across the Technology Division to assess the effectiveness of controls, identify opportunities for improvement and help strengthen the processes that support our risk and governance obligations.

This is a role with plenty of variety. One day you might be reviewing control evidence or assessing a process, and the next you could be working with stakeholders to understand how controls operate or support remediation activities. Along the way, you'll develop valuable experience in Technology Risk, Controls and Governance while building relationships across the business.

What you will be doing

  • Perform technology controls testing activities across the Technology Division
  • Assess the design and effectiveness of technology controls
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather evidence, validate findings and support remediation
  • Prepare quality testing documentation and reports
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the control environment
  • Support the uplift of technology risk, governance and assurance practices across the business

What you will bring

You'll bring experience in Technology Audit, Technology Risk, Controls Testing, Assurance or IT Governance, along with a genuine curiosity about how technology, processes and controls work together.

You'll be someone who:

  • Builds strong relationships and communicates effectively
  • Enjoys solving problems and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Can analyse information and make practical recommendations
  • Takes pride in delivering high-quality work
  • Is keen to learn, grow and challenge themselves
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment

Experience with technology controls, technology assurance, ITGCs, CPS 234 or broader technology risk frameworks will be highly regarded.
