The opportunity to join our team
As a Sourcing Manager, you will drive commercial arrangements and oversee supplier relationships across one or more categories, directly shaping the efficiency and value delivered by the Procurement team. You will lead sourcing initiatives, negotiate contracts and partner with business stakeholders to achieve strategic goals, identifying opportunities for cost optimisation and managing risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic sourcing support for one or more categories
- Deliver category savings through supply base rationalisation, development of panels and innovative sourcing solutions
- Support Sourcing Specialists in managing RF(x) processes for their stakeholders
- Establish and manage panels of preferred suppliers or service providers
- Lead stakeholders through tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract setup
- Develop negotiation strategies and conduct vendor negotiations on contract terms, rate cards and fees
- Address supplier risk in collaboration with legal during contract finalisation
What you will bring:
- Procurement, Accounting or Legal or other business-related tertiary qualification
- Proven experience in Procurement, Commercial Management or Financial Services/Superannuation Industry
- Experience in sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management
- CIPS diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to draft complex service schedules addressing commercial and risk factors, with legal support
- Exposure to technology procurement is advantageous but not essential
- Strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation and communication skills
