The opportunity to join our team
We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Analyst, Information Governance to join our forward-thinking team that is modernising how the organisation manages and protects its data. This is a role where your analytical strengths and practical problem-solving skills will genuinely make a difference.
You will work closely with experienced leaders, gain hands on exposure to industry leading information governance tools, and play a meaningful part in shaping how information is handled across the business.
In this role you will support enterprise information governance activities while building deep subject matter experience across digital and physical records.
- Support the delivery of a large multiyear records destruction program including retention scheduling, approvals, tracking, and defensible disposal of physical and digital records.
- Manage day-to-day information governance operations across structured and unstructured data including SharePoint, M365, and work management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Work closely with senior managers to deliver governance uplift activities and provide insights on information risk, retention, and compliance.
- Coordinate supplier governance activities including vendor engagement, storage provider interactions, service monitoring, and invoice processing.
- Assist in the operational management and optimisation of tooling such as RecordPoint and Microsoft Purview including learning and using the systems to support classification, retention, and disposal.
- Review data sets, records inventories, and assurance reports to identify gaps, improvement opportunities, and risk areas.
- Prepare clear documentation, reporting packs, and supporting materials for governance forums and training sessions.
- Contribute to improvements in information governance processes, standards, and operating procedures.
What You Bring to This Role
To be successful in this role you will bring a blend of analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to work with stakeholders and influence good information management practices.
- Background as a Business Analyst or similar analytical role with exposure to system implementation or process change.
- A problem-solving mindset with the ability to think creatively and identify practical solutions.
- Experience working in a regulated environment such as financial services, superannuation, government, insurance, or technology.
- Experience with information governance, structured and unstructured data, or records management is preferred.
- Knowledge or experience with tools like RecordPoint or Microsoft Purview is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders and provide training to staff across the organisation
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
