We are seeking an experienced Manager, Risk & Compliance to partner with senior leaders and provide high-quality risk and compliance support across a key business division. This is an influential role where you'll help drive risk maturity, ensure regulatory obligations are met, and foster a culture where risk and compliance considerations are embedded into everyday decision-making.
You'll work closely with business leaders, regulators, governance forums, and project teams, providing trusted advice on complex regulatory requirements and helping the business navigate change with confidence.
About the Role
As a Risk & Compliance Manager, you will lead the implementation and ongoing enhancement of risk and compliance frameworks, ensuring the business operates within its regulatory obligations while delivering positive client and member outcomes.
This role offers broad exposure across operational risk, regulatory compliance, governance, projects, and stakeholder engagement, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced risk professional seeking a highly visible and impactful position.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leaders on risk, compliance, and governance matters.
- Lead the implementation and embedment of risk and compliance frameworks.
- Drive a strong risk-aware culture across the Division.
- Oversee risk, incident, issue, breach, and remediation management.
- Provide regulatory advice and guidance on legislative change.
- Support business projects and strategic initiatives with risk and compliance oversight.
- Review and approve client/member communications and disclosure materials.
- Prepare reporting for executives, Boards, committees, and regulators.
About You
- 6+ years' experience in risk, compliance, governance, or audit within financial services.
- Experience in superannuation, wealth management, banking, or other regulated industries preferred.
- Strong understanding of Australian financial services regulation and compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to interpret complex regulatory obligations and provide pragmatic business advice, and support through execution
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
- Experience embedding risk frameworks, governance practices, and regulatory change initiatives.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Law, or a related discipline a plus
- Diploma of Superannuation, Financial Planning, or similar qualifications highly regarded.
