The opportunity to join our team

Play a critical role in shaping and embedding enterprise-wide information governance and lifecycle management practices across Insignia Financial. Reporting to the Head of Data Governance and Information Management, you will lead the administration and optimisation of information governance platforms while ensuring regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and effective risk management. Working within our Technology division, you will help ensure information is managed securely, efficiently, and in line with evolving regulatory obligations. You will drive improvements in information lifecycle management across both physical and digital records while building governance capability across the organisation through education, guidance, and stakeholder engagement.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the configuration, administration, and continuous optimisation of enterprise information governance platforms, including tools such as Microsoft Purview and RecordPoint.
  • Oversee information lifecycle management activities across physical and digital information, including classification, retention, archiving, and authorised disposal.
  • Embed information governance controls that align with organisational policies, regulatory requirements, and operational objectives.
  • Monitor compliance with information handling requirements and partner with stakeholders to address governance risks and non-compliance issues.
  • Drive uplift of the Business Classification Scheme (BCS) and Records Retention & Destruction practices across the organisation.
  • Collaborate with Technology, Risk, Legal, and business teams to integrate governance requirements into business processes and solution delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance governance maturity, audit readiness, and operational efficiency

 

What you will bring:

  • 5-7 years' experience in information governance, records management, information management, or a related discipline, ideally within a regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated experience administering and optimising enterprise information governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview and RecordPoint.
  • Strong knowledge of information governance, records management, and information lifecycle management principles.
  • Sound understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations, including privacy legislation and governance frameworks.
  • Experience embedding governance controls into product, technology, and business delivery practices.
  • A collaborative mindset with proven experience partnering across Technology, Risk, Legal, and broader business teams to achieve governance outcomes

Salary Range: $155,000 - $170,000 inclusive of 12.5% super

Location: Melbourne, Sydney
