The opportunity to join our team
We’re seeking dedicated and empathetic Insurance Solutions Specialist to join our Operations – Adviser & Client Services team. In this role, you’ll deliver specialised, end-to-end support across insurance, family law and financial hardship matters, managing a portfolio of complex cases during critical life moments for members. You’ll work closely with internal teams, insurers and external stakeholders to ensure accurate, compliant and empathetic outcomes. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in detail, values customer care, and is passionate about supporting vulnerable members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end insurance, claims underwriting and family law processes, including documentation, follow-ups and lodgements
- Process superannuation transactions such as payment splits, withdrawals and claims in line with legislative and trust deed requirements
- Liaise empathetically and professionally with members, insurers, lawyers and beneficiaries to progress and resolve cases
- Provide tailored support to vulnerable members with care, discretion and sensitivity
- Capture data, manage workflows and meet service levels and quality standards
- Identify, raise and escalate risk and compliance issues
- Contribute to continuous improvement and share knowledge across the team
- Participate in a rotating insurance and/or financial hardship phone roster
What you will bring:
- Proven experience in superannuation, insurance or financial services
- Sound knowledge of superannuation legislation, eligibility and trust deed requirements
- Understanding of insurance cover types, claims and underwriting processes
- Knowledge of superannuation withdrawals, rules and restrictions
- Foundational understanding of family law as it relates to superannuation
- Familiarity with death benefit nominations and eligibility requirements
- Awareness of fraud prevention and ATO/Centrelink compliance obligations
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage complex cases
- Clear, empathetic communicator, particularly with vulnerable clients
- Proactive, collaborative approach with a focus on quality and continuous improvement
