The platform strength has been reflected in Wrap’s rapid rise to 4th in the market and its clear ambition to become the market leader.
This role offers an experienced senior leader the opportunity to build on that foundation, sharpen the platform’s commercial edge, scale capability, lift productivity and set a clear strategic view on where to invest next to support continued growth.
The opportunity to join the team
As General Manager Technology for the Wrap business, you will have end-to-end accountability for the technology function supporting one of Australia’s largest and fastest growing wealth platforms managing over $100 billion in funds. Reporting to Liz McCarthy (CEO MLC Expand), you will operate as the business units senior technology leader, setting and executing a clear technology strategy aligned to Wrap’s growth and commercial objectives.
You will lead the approximately 160 people across onshore and offshore teams. The group has a strong track record of delivery; the next phase is to lift engagement, build momentum, and evolve the operating model to support faster growth and higher productivity. You will also lead effectively across the organisation, partnering with senior leaders and teams across our business to deliver and continuously improve innovative retirement solutions at scale.
A key focus of the role is enabling adviser efficiency and client confidence through technology. You will own the technology roadmap, prioritise investments that make it easier for advisers to serve clients, and use data, AI and automation to simplify processes, improve decision-making and strengthen the client experience.

What You Bring to This Role
This is a senior GM-level role suited to an established technology leader. To be successful, you will bring:
- Proven experience leading large, complex technology functions with full accountability for strategy, delivery and operations, underpinned by a strong personal background in technology
- Strong technical credibility and a deep understanding of modern platforms and the broader technology landscape
- A track record of setting clear direction, prioritising investment, and delivering complex change in regulated environments
- Experience building and leading high-performing, hybrid teams across onshore and offshore models
- Practical, credible experience leveraging data and AI to lift productivity and capability
- Strong stakeholder leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to partner effectively at executive level
- A leadership style grounded in listening, coaching and clarity, with the confidence to make decisions and drive performance
Industry experience in regulated environments such as financial services, wealth or superannuation is highly valued, particularly where pace, scale and commercial agility have been critical.
