About the Role
The Business Support Manager provides trusted, confidential support to enable the CEO MLC Super to operate effectively and efficiently. The role is responsible for disciplined management of the CEO’s business support and communications, strengthening business rhythm, and coordinating high‑quality leadership activity

This role goes beyond traditional executive assistance. It combines strong operational support with leadership coordination, governance discipline and project follow‑through, and will suit someone who enjoys working close to decision‑making and accountability.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

A) Support to CEO MLC Super;

  • Optimise the effectiveness of the CEO’s meetings through preparation of materials, summaries, insights and follow‑up, including attending meetings where required.
  • Manage and maintain the CEO’s calendar with disciplined prioritization, balancing strategic, operational and governance commitments. Analysis –
  • Prepare high‑quality briefing notes, packs, presentations and analysis.
  • Provide analysis and insights to support the CEO’s internal and external presentations and decision‑making.

 

B)  MT leadership coordination and business activity

  • Proactively resolve conflicts, protect focus time and ensure meetings are decision‑ready with clear agendas, correct attendees and timely pre‑reading.
  • Supporting actions from management  or board related meetings on behalf of CEO MLC Super as required. 
  • Manage leadership offsites and planning sessions, including cooordinate Executive Leadership Team (ELT) interactions and forums, including manage
  • Executive communications and stakeholder coordination – Draft, triage and manage executive correspondence as delegated on behalf of the CEO.

 

 

 

C) Project support and governance 

  • Provide project assistance where required for MT initiatives. Including cross-functional inputs, sequencing and delivery.
  • Coordinate executive and governance papers, including Board and Committee cycles.
  • Support preparation and quality review of Board materials, liaising with leadership, the Member Office and Company Secretariat.

 

What you will bring:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting a CEO or senior executive in a complex, fast‑paced organisation.
  • Proven capability managing complex calendars, inboxes, meetings and executive workflows with strong judgement and prioritisation.
  • Experience coordinating governance processes, including preparation and submission of Board or Committee papers.
  • Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise executive correspondence, briefings and decision‑ready packs.
  • Experience coordinating projects or initiatives, including structured action tracking and follow‑through.
  • A proactive, solutions‑oriented working style, with the ability to anticipate needs, identify risks and continuously improve ways of working.
  • High levels of trust, discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and business judgement, balanced with the ability to make timely, pragmatic decisions.
  • A credible and collaborative approach, building effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
