The opportunity to join our team
We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Insurance Solutions Specialist to join our Pension and Investment Claims team. In this role, you’ll support members and beneficiaries during some of life’s most critical moments—providing accurate, efficient, and compassionate claims management services that enhance our clients' superannuation and investment experience.
As an Insurance Solutions Specialist, you'll deliver end-to-end claims coordination, engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely, transparent, and member-focused outcomes. Your work will involve supporting vulnerable clients and enhancing the overall member journey through trusted and empathetic service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end claims process, including claims pack preparation, requirement follow-up, and referral to the Trustee Benefit Review Team.
- Provide clear, professional, and empathetic communication to members, beneficiaries and representatives.
- Deliver tailored support for vulnerable members with empathy and care.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and support team members across all aspects of claims administration.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process efficiencies and sharing insights.
- Maintain subject matter expertise in claims, insurance, and superannuation products, with a commitment to ongoing learning.
- Participate in a rotating roster to monitor the insurance phone line during early (from 8:00 AM) and late shifts (until 6:00 PM).
What you will bring:
- Proven experience in superannuation, with strong understanding of related legislation.
- Understanding of superannuation withdrawals, account types, nominations, and advice levels.
- Familiarity with compliance and reporting requirements (e.g. ATO, fraud prevention, trust deeds).
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
