About the role
As an Infrastructure Solution Designer, you’ll be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure solutions that support our workplace modernisation agenda.
You'll work with the Infrastructure, Cloud & Workplace teams, Architecture, and Project Delivery, gathering requirements, shaping solution designs, and ensuring successful implementation and operationalisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and design modern workplace infrastructure solutions that enable secure, scalable, and efficient end-user experiences across cloud platforms and enterprise tools.
- Consolidate and redesign systems acquired through recent mergers and acquisitions.
- Support digitisation efforts by replacing manual processes with integrated technical solutions.
- Ensure infrastructure designs are operationally sound, secure, scalable, cost-efficient, and governance compliant.
- Collaborate across architecture, delivery, security, and operations teams.
- Provide technical leadership and coaching to foster consistency and uplift standards.
- Stay ahead of technology trends to shape platform strategy and workplace innovation.
- Embed observability and monitoring best practices into solution designs.
What You Bring to This Role
We’re seeking an experienced infrastructure specialist who combines strong technical design skills with practical delivery expertise, thrives in evolving environments, and can confidently lead infrastructure transformation initiatives. Key areas of experience include:
- Experience across infrastructure design, governance, and delivery in enterprise environments.
- Strong infrastructure delivery background (hands-on expertise preferred)
- Deep knowledge of Azure, with AWS and GCP exposure.
- Expertise across Microsoft 365 ecosystem, ServiceNow integrations, Observability, Scheduling and SFTP.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices.
- Strong understanding of enterprise platforms: storage, Microsoft/Linux server environments, and large-scale backup solutions.
- Ability to work through grey areas and ambiguity – adaptable and proactive.
Desirable:
- Financial services or superannuation industry experience.
- Working knowledge of enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN/Telephony).
- Experience uplifting observability/monitoring across infrastructure platforms.
