The Role  

As an Associate Planner, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our Financial Planners with advice preparation, client engagement, and implementation of recommendations. You’ll also contribute to a high-performing and compliant practice while developing your own capabilities in the financial advice profession.

 

In this role, you will work closely with clients to understand their goals, assist with advice documentation and case management, and provide proactive follow-up to support lead conversion and practice growth. You’ll also support continuous improvement initiatives and help ensure a seamless experience for our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Liaising with prospective and existing clients to review their circumstances and understand their needs 
  • Manage the preparation of advice documentation for clients through paraplanning requests or advice document preparation, including drafting basic SOAs, ROAs and supporting the paraplanning process 
  • Facilitating the implementation of recommendations and support case management of complex advice implementation matters 
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and other activities as required to support the efficient, compliant and sustainable running of the practice 
  • Fulfilling ad-hoc client enquiries and requests 
  • Foster professional, genuine and meaningful connections that build confidence and trust with clients 
  • Seek opportunities to coach and mentor colleagues and continuously build capability of all team members within market ensuring high levels of cross skilling and deep technical expertise 

  

To Be Successful in This Role You Will Possess:  

  • RG146 (Diploma Financial Planning) Compliant - minimum education standard 
  • Approved Degree is highly desirable 
  • Completed or working towards FASEA qualification preferred
  • Sound understand of advice industry regulations and legislation, products and strategies 
  • Strong initiative and judgement in problem-solving situations
  • Paraplanning experience would be ideal
  • Passionate about delivering positive outcomes for clients and colleagues, demonstrating hard work and resilience
