The opportunity to join our team
We are seeking a Senior Associate Adviser (SAA) to play a pivotal role in our service delivery strategy at Shadforth. The SAA is responsible for managing the advisory needs of our existing clients, as well as facilitating our growth journey by attending to the needs of our prospective clients.
As an SAA, you will manage the advisory needs of our existing clients while supporting our growth initiatives to onboard new clients. This role serves as a cornerstone in upholding our high standards of professional advice, client service, and ethical integrity.
You will be mentored and developed in line with your goals of progressing into a Private Wealth Adviser.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership and accountability for new and existing client business, including preparation and delivery of advice.
- Provide high-quality personal wealth management advice, ensuring clients are well-informed.
- Identify and address additional client needs promptly and effectively and also help manage client expectations.
- Support fellow SAAs and Associate Advisers (AA) during their absence and contribute to wider team training, mentorship and workload allocation.
What you will bring:
- Proven experience in an Associate Adviser or Paraplanner role
- Solid understanding of tax, superannuation, retirement income streams, investments, and social security
- Sound experience with XPLAN financial planning software
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to problem-solve independently and demonstrate initiative
- Passion for mentoring and developing peers
- New business skills and existing client referral networks
- Accountable for targets aligned with key business drivers
- Real drive/passion to become a Private Wealth Adviser
- Tertiary qualification in Financial Planning, Business
- DFP qualified
- FASEA Qualified or working towards this
